IRENA ULRO is a polish artist, born 1977
master of fine art degree in 2003 at the UMK (Torun/Poland) & since 2004 she’s concentrated on digital art
the TRACE QUAKE series of 2005-09
were taken during her travels
...once upon a time one entered the inner lift & never came back
what remains?
a spot full of traces but no clue at all!
this could be the starting point of a narrative visual plot that somehow Irena put us into
sharing her vision on a very particular and personal way
the progressive emotion is balanced by the speed (or lack of it)
that catch us through the images of ghost buildings, spying corners & alleys, sleepless highways followed by rivers of light
all that measured by a sort of a vertiginous vacuum notion, a kind of quake feeling, on an almost poetic strong color approach
...& when we wake up, we are not there anymore
we took the lift, a ride to find another place
